IIDI issued a circular regarding the Non-Operational Status of Bullion Demat Accounts Maintained with IIDI

Secretarial ComplianceThe India International Depository IFSC Ltd. (IIDI) on July 03, 2026, issued a circular regarding Non-Operational Status of Bullion Demat Accounts Maintained with IIDI.

The following has been stated:-

•Bullion demat accounts maintained directly with IIDI that were not closed by June 30, 2026, have become non-operational from July 01, 2026. 

•All bullion settlement obligations must now be routed only through active bullion demat accounts with IIDI-registered Depository Participants (DPs). 

•Clients who have not yet opened a DP-held bullion demat account should do so immediately. 

•Clients are also advised to close their old IIDI-maintained bullion demat accounts as soon as possible, and DPs must ensure compliance.
